
Hot dogs, burgers, sodas and sweets can shorten your life, researchers warn
Thanks to the poor or nonexistent nutritional content of unhealthy fats, sugars, dyes and other substances in ultra-processed foods (UPFs) — which make up 75 percent of the U.S. diet — we’re shaving time off our life expectancy with every bite of burger or sip of soda.
Researchers say that topping the list of deadly foodstuffs are hot dogs, which can chop a whopping average of 36 minutes off your lifespan, plus another 12 minutes if you wash it down with a sugary or even artificially sweetened soft drink!
