Walmart Sourced Goods Valued at Over $30 Billion from India in the Past 20 Years

Walmart sourced goods valued at over $30 billion from the Indian market in the last two decades to support its global operations said a company official recently. Walmart now aims to triple its annual sourcing from India, targeting a value of USD 10 billion per year by 2027, as stated by Walmart Inc Executive Vice President of Sourcing, Andrea Albright.

The company is encouraging MSMEs and entrepreneurs with proper training and believes that there is an enormous opportunity to continue to contribute to India's growing economy, she said. Walmart has been doing business in India for the last 25 years, she further added.

McKinsey places 3,000 staff on review amid economies slow

McKinsey & Co, an American multinational strategy and management consulting firm, has warned about 3,000 of the firm's consultants that their performance was unsatisfactory and will need to improve.

These employees have received a "concerns" rating during recent performance reviews, granting them a three-month window to show improved performance. If improvements are not observed within this timeframe, the firm may begin counselling some of them to leave the company entirely.
