<p>National Highways Logistics Management (NHLML), a fully-owned special purpose vehicle (SPV) of NHAI, will be implementing the 'digital highways' network.</p>
<p>NHLML will be developing integrated utility corridors along the national highways. As part of this, around 1,367 km on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and 512 km on the HyderabadBangalore corridor have been identified as pilot routes for the digital highway development. By offering internet connectivity to remote locations, the OFC network will speed-up the roll-out of telecom technologies like 5G &amp; 6G.</p>
<p>The OFC laying work has started and is expected to be completed in a year's time, following which a direct plug-andplay or 'fibre-on-demand' model will be provided for the telecom/internet services.</p>
