MINDS BEHIND THE BEST WORKSPACES IN INDIA
PATHFINDERS

AJIT MOHAN

VP & MD, Meta (formerly Facebook)

Ajit Mohan sees offices as an opportunity for the company to build a space that will house and support the best of the talent and resources in the country. The Meta office is a space that is designed with an aim to be open to anyone who is driving change - be it creators, small business owners, entrepreneurs, artists or community leaders.

The workplace harnesses Meta's directed, purposeful efforts to fuel their pursuits, ideas and ambition. That is why Meta is embracing the ambitious goal of training two crore small businesses and 250,000 creators. It sees its offices as a reaffirmation of its commitment to the country, its deep aspiration to be an ally for a country that is rapidly transforming and where technology will play an enabling role in enhancing the lives and prosperity of future generations.

The modern, minimalist and functional furniture, the bright red, designed with deep blue and mustard tapestry, adds a burst of colour to the Meta offices. One of the most innovative design features is the wall culture within the office that encourages everyone to scribble their ideas on whiteboards or share 'What's on your mind?' on walls seen all over the office. Quirky local and pop-culture elements are introduced with meeting room names such as 'Chellam Sir Will Know', 'Felt Cute(Might Delete Later).' and 'When Is The Next Long Weekend?'.
