Goa is that quintessential friend who even if you don't keep in touch with can pick up from where you left off! I recently visited Goa for the first time after travel restrictions opened post-covid and was enveloped in its timeless charm and magnetism all over again. It seemed as if nothing had changed and yet so much had! As I drove to my destination from the airport, I observed a plethora of infrastructural developments, luxury apartment buildings, art galleries, fashion studios, new restaurants, bars and so much more which had sprung up since my last visit. Despite the contemporary makeover, however, Goa continues to retain its warm hospitality and vibrancy.
This quaint, coastal utopia in Western India which was once a Portuguese territory, is acclaimed the world over for opulent resorts, a rich cultural heritage, beautiful beaches, great culinary experiences, unparalleled nightlife, thrilling outdoor activities and adventurous water sports. Flanked by the Arabian Sea on the West and the imposing Sahyadri mountains on the East, the Goan landscape towers high above sea level. Among the many hats that Goa dons, it is the perfect getaway for solo or family trips, a preferred choice for a business off-site and is one of the most sought-after and popular honeymoon destinations in India! The state is divided into North Goa and South Goa.
NORTH GOA
Resplendent with golden, sandy shorelines, quaint and colourful beach shacks, swaying coconut palms, eclectic restaurants, lively bars, and craft stalls - North Goa's unique charm is unparalleled. It hosts the famed Anjuna Flea Market, the Mapusa local produce market, the lively Saturday Night market at Arpora and a plethora of other markets.
SOUTH GOA
