Established in 2014, CEF Group, a Delhi-based company specialising in bio-fuels and municipal solid waste/agri-waste management, has recently partnered with Halman-Aldubi Group to convert slaughterhouse waste into protein-rich food for fish. The Israeli company is renowned for its expertise in finance, energy, climate and technology management solutions. In an interaction with AgroSpectrum, Maninder Singh Nayyar, Founder & CEO of CEF Group expressed his insight on converting slaughterhouse waste into fish feed. Edited excerpts:

How is the technology that converts slaughterhouse waste into fish feed useful for India?

The conversion of slaughterhouse waste into fish feed holds immense promise for India's aquaculture industry and environmental sustainability. With a rapidly growing population and increasing demand for protein sources, aquaculture has become a crucial sector. However, traditional fish feed sources such as fishmeal are becoming scarcer and more expensive, leading to overexploitation of marine resources.
