The ride was awesome and heartfelt with tears. We lost one of our young fighters a few months ago but we were able to do a balloon release and honor his wonderful life.
Grady Simants experienced his first airboat ride at age 12 when he joined Team Jack at their annual event. Grady was from North Platte, Nebraska. He was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma in March 2015, right before his seventh birthday. He spent the next 7 1/2 years fighting the disease traveling to Omaha St. Jude, and Augusta, Georgia for numerous experimental trials.
Grady loved boating, water, being outside, and anything to do with going fast. He was only able to attend the one event in 2020 but it was by far one of the best days... and he even got to drive.
