Classic & Sports Car|September 2022
The Historic Sports Car Club's Legends of Brands Hatch Superprix was contested on the Kent track's Grand Prix circuit on 9-10 July, featuring a packed schedule kicking off with the Thundersports contest. Warren Briggs qualified second in his McLaren M8E but retired with throttle-linkage failure, leaving John Burton to take a comfortable win in his Chevron B26.

However, Burton was sidelined by food poisoning for Sunday's rematch, when Briggs beat Robert Parker (Osella PA5) to the line by 1.7 secs.

Martin Stretton prevailed twice in Historic Formula Two in his March 712 but was pushed hard in both races, with Matthew Watts (March 772) just 1.3 secs adrift in the first, and Matt Wrigley (March 782) returning from a burst brake pipe in race one to finish a mere 0.3 secs behind in the second.
