Stellar Performance by Bagnaia

Sprint Race

IN THE QUALIFYING SESSION, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) secured pole position. While Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) started the race in P2, Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) qualified in P3. Bagnaia got a good start along with Binder but Maverick was off to a sluggish start.

As the riders approached Turn One, there was intense drama. Martin was on the inside line and made contact with Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha). This led to a chain reaction; Viñales was involved as he was between Quartararo and Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) and the latter went down along with Johann Zarco (Prima Pramac Racing) and Miguel Oliveira (CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team). Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) was also caught up in the incident. Martin was handed a Long Lap penalty for Sunday's race after this incident.
