N YET ANOTHER qualifying session, Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Ducati) qualified in pole position. Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda) started the race in second and Jack Miller qualified third for his last appearance with the Ducati Lenovo Team. Alex Rins started the race in fifth place and made a great start on Sunday to lead the pack to the first corner.
Martin dropped to second and Jack Miller stayed in third. Quartararo was behind Márquez at this point and in a battle for P5 with Bagnaia who had moved up from P8. As Márquez got past Miller, Quartararo got close and made a move on him at Turn Eight.
