Hero MotoCorp to shed its budget appeal in favour of premium pitch

Hero MotoCorp's Q2 results show H mixed results that are indicative of the overall industry trend. India's largest two-wheeler makers' revenue increased by 7.4 percent YoY to Rs 9,075.4 crore as compared to Rs 8,453.40 crore in revenue in the same quarter last fiscal. The company also reported a 9.9 percent year-on-year (YoY) drop in net profit for the September quarter to Rs 716 crore vs net profit of Rs 794 crore a year ago.

With rival Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) steadily entering into a domain that is currently enjoyed by Bajaj Auto and TVS at the premium end, Hero MotoCorp has plans to debut its two new 300 plus cc models by the first half of FY24, sources say.
