FEW forms of motorsport boast as many AE as But despite the might of brands like Porsche, Renault and Mercedes, French firm DS has been the most successful of all.
Since it entered the sport, DS has bagged 17 pole positions, 14 wins and four titles (both driver's and manufacturer's). The ambition shows no sign of letting up, either; as we reported last week, the team confirmed that reigning champ Stoffel Vandoorne will move from Mercedes to partner Jean-Eric Vergne at DS next season.
The DS Penske team operates out of a spartan-looking industrial estate near Paris. It's a place with a history of not only success, but dominance, too; it was here that Citroen's World Rally project oversaw nine straight driver's titles for Sebastien Loeb.
Today, the 250 employees are split three ways. The majority work on Peugeot's WEC programme, while the rest are with DS.
