Design Debate is a constructive discourse centered on the future of design and the role of technology vs tradition in manifesting the same and set to focus on Tier II cities across the nation. Designed to be interactive and knowledge-led, the Pune Edition of the series was its next successful step. Brimming with engaging discussions and thought-provoking opinions, the debate gave a lot of food for thought and invited interest not only from the panellists, but also the audience. The interactive discussion kick-started with a welcome note from Kshitij Sarup, Head Marketing, Havells India, followed by a presentation by Abhinav Vashishth - Segment Head Professional Lighting.
The evening was made even more special with the presence of two of the city's most celebrated architects the esteemed Architect Christopher Benninger, Principal Architect at CCBA, who was the Chief Guest and Ar. Vikas Bhandari, Founder at Veekas Architectural Studio, who graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. They were felicitated in honour of their contributions towards the architecture of not only the city of Pune but also the entire country.
The debate was initiated with Architect Tushar Kothawade, Co-Founder and Principal Designer at Studio Infinity and the curator of the panel discussions, presenting his thoughts on the topic - Tradition vs Technology.
