Situation Avoidance
If your pet has been diagnosed with anxiety issues, you can also try to avoid or prevent situations that trigger their anxiety. For example, if you know that your pet grows anxious around large groups of other pets or people, you should avoid exposing them to big gatherings or noisy places.
If the source of the anxiety cannot be avoided, preventive measures like leashes, body harnesses, and, in some cases, basket muzzles for dogs can prevent dangerous situations. Once you know your pet's triggers, you can prepare for these situations ahead of time.
