Rare Breeds Survival Trust Chief Executive Christoper Price  leads us through the changes

The RBST Watchlist is our annual situation report for the UK’s native livestock and equine breeds, an expert analysis of data and information which enables us to not only gauge the latest situation for individual breeds but also to assess the bigger picture.

The Watchlist report reflects robust measures of the genetic diversity within each breed, data on numbers of breeding females registered, further information from many breed societies, and RBST’s analysis. It is a vital tool for spotting trends early, steering our conservation activities and informing breeding programmes. It also creates an invaluable platform to promote these breeds and why they matter, to the food and farming community and far beyond.
