How To Make a Travel Themed Bedrooms!
Women Exclusive|January 2018

Most of us love travel and would love to take off or embark on a world tour. Doing it regularly, however, may be challenging due to several reasons. We could, nevertheless, live up to the desire by creating images or symbols of our passion by doing up our homes to match our fervor for travel.

How To Make a Travel Themed Bedrooms!

Let’s look at creating a unique travel-themed bedroom, which will not only give you a relaxing and soothing feel, but also convert the space to be ‘uniquely yours’. Also, bedrooms are where one retires for a day; hence making it likeable is very necessary.

USE CUSHIONS

Cushions are great accent features. Look around for world travel related cushions such as those with the images of maps or the Union Jack flag embedded on them. You can also choose cushions with images of world landmarks or related ones.

INVEST IN A WOODEN TRUNK

Wooden trunks make for wonderful pillowcases. Decorate this trunk with stamps from all over the world, or with images and stickers related to world travel.

DECORATE WITH MAPS

Whenever you think of a world travel theme, the first thing to cross your mind would be images of maps. They are perfect décor elements. Choose a map of your favorite place, the one you have dreams of visiting, or the map of your favorite place that you have already travelled to. You can also put up a world map highlighting all the places you have visited.

FRAMED WALL ART

Add an exotic touch to your bedroom by framing images of places around the world on the walls. You can personalize them by framing vacation pictures from your travels. Yet again, you can display images of famous landmarks that you wish to visit, or have already visited.

DISPLAY POSTCARDS

Postcards may not be popular these days, but they make for excellent memorabilia. When you travel next, be sure to buy some postcards, frame them and display them on the wall, either above your bed or above your work desk or any place you think it would look great at.
