It's time we give credit to ourselves.
They say time heals. But let me ask you how as I beg to differ.
It is we who make a change and shift in focus by engaging ourselves in other aspects than fighting our losses and defeats. It is we who make our thought process devoid of the sadness we went through. It is we who make a dramatic change in our mindset towards the dark clouds that befell in our past. So why the time factor plays a big role here as the wounds and scars always remain in the deepest corners of our hearts. As our heart is too irreparably and thoroughly broken, the darkness does not choose to evade. It reveals its diabolic image. It is we who put the blanket over the darkness that has shrouded due to unwanted circumstances.
We are taking the time forward and letting things heal. If we are brooding over the spilt milk again and again, chew over the same fodder, letting others believe that we can never let go the past then time can never heal. We will not forget the misunderstandings, the ill feelings that others have towards us, the relationship that fell apart, the loss of a loved one, the job that we never could qualify for because of corporate politics and other sad stuff. The scab remains forever showing the phase of sadness that surpassed us.
