The term ‘Arrange marriage’ reflects arranging a partner for your beloved child. Right? The parents search for a suitable bride/groom for their family. They upload the matrimonial picture and bio-data of their child on various sites or in a newspaper. When they are lined up with various available brides/grooms; they start with the process of short-listing to invite them for the interview. Now, if you relate this whole process with the organization hiring an employee, what’s the difference? The organization posts a vacancy in a newspaper or on different sites, then various interested candidates drop their resume, the company shortlists the employee, take the interview and hire them.
Now, in short, asking the bride to meet the guy for the first time, don’t you think, it is the same as hiring an employee for the organization? To some extent it is the same; same in starting the process for available bride/groom or employee but the consequences after that are not the same. Why? The reason being if the employee is not up to the expectations he/she can be terminated or fired out but if the Jeevan sathi is not up to the expectations, can you terminate them from your life easily? No, then you have to depend on the words like ‘Sacrifice’ or ‘Compromise’. Parents can arrange a Marriage but they cannot arrange the Love!
