An expression to show belongingness.
At all times and to all people the kiss has represented the universal symbol as the expression of love. In its various forms and manifestations, not only men kiss women and vice versa but also men kiss men. Look at the Arabs, it is their custom to kiss their fellowmen on the cheeks. This cheek, the other cheek and this cheek again. Three kisses. Why three s not known.
The kiss takes various forms. A kiss on the forehead or a kiss on either of the cheeks after the Arab fashion, the Victorian custom of kissing the lady’s hand while greeting her, the stolen kisses of the teenage lovers, the flying kisses and the passionate kiss of the Hollywood movies. Strangely our movies do not show people kissing. In a couple of exceptional cases they showed kissing in one or two movies but the practice has not been continued.
