Depression is a global epidemic, it hits people of all age groups, there are over 300 million individuals suffering from the disease. There has been an increase of more than eighteen percent between the years of 2005 to 2015. Life is unpredictable, hence the feeling of sadness will occur and there will be times when people lose interest in activities they enjoy. Depression is however a period of intense sadness, and the affected person will never have satisfaction in the activities he/she likes to do and this can prolong for a fortnight or longer.

It isn’t a comfortable feeling to be depressed, but if you want to feel happier, the solution is right round the corner. There are certain foods that can help ease depression, there is no scientific proof indicating a diet to help in overcoming depression, but eating particular foods will help you feel better and motivate you. It fights free radicals that causes cancer, cell damage and affects healthy agenig. Enjoy these colourful and tasty healthy foods to just feel content, consume, vitamin E foods such as vegetable oils, wheat germ, seeds, nuts and margarine. The antioxidant rich vitamin C foods are tomato, grapefruit, strawberries, orange, blueberries and peppers. Have a bowl of satisfying sweet potato, carrots, spinach, peach, broccoli, apricot, peaches and pumpkin.
