Being The Warrior Princess

Well you may dismiss this as another lament post partum. But post partum reality is real. Like one of the young authors had recently commented on his Instagram account on a happy youthful couple picture, “Miss those times when we were young, and could take off anytime we wanted to. Now we have to spend extra on cabin baggage who insists we call her Rose.”

This might sound so insensitive at first to call one’s daughter a baggage, but that’s how real it is. Post part is difficult for parents and particularly so for women and bouncing back isn’t as real as it sound it is. It is enmeshed with compromises, sacrifices, putting your passion at bay and let your motherhood take the centre stage.
