Japan banned the use of selfie sticks within its 1195 stations and the Russian government has even launched a ‘safe selfie’ campaign. The focus is always on the number of places where selfies are banned and a number of deaths caused by selfies. What is the rationale behind the ‘no selfie movement’. Safety and interest rank on top of the list. However, the anti-selfie activists have more to add on to the list.
