Camille's Olympic dream 'WE'LL BRING OUR BABY TO THE GAMES!'

When Olympic runner Camille Buscomb and her fiancé, fellow athlete Cameron French, decided they'd try for a baby after 10 years together, the Hamiltonian didn't expect to fall pregnant so quickly.

And while carrying her wee girl is a dream come true for Camille, who's 32 weeks along, the star athlete says it hasn't been without its struggles.

“I was a bit surprised that it happened pretty much straight away, which is super fortunate, but you never know how all of those years of training hard will affect you," Camille, 31, tells Woman's Day.

"But since I've been pregnant, I didn't realise how good I used to feel all the time! I'm used to being able to push myself really hard. Going from the peak of my fitness off the back of the 2020 Olympics to now has been a big adjustment. My tummy popped out so quickly. I definitely don't have any use for my old crop tops at the moment!"

Pregnancy has certainly required a change of thinking for Camille who, until now, has been single-minded in her goal to represent New Zealand on sport's biggest stage - a dream that finally came true last year, when she lined up to race in the 5000m and 10,000m track events in Tokyo.

And when you're used to setting massive goals and figuring out the "how" later, having a baby can certainly throw a curveball or two!
