What Happened To Meg Ryan?

The rom-com sweetheart has walked away from Hollywood life
What Happened To Meg Ryan?

In the 1990s, you could rarely walk into a movie theatre without seeing Meg Ryan. She was the era’s quintessential girl next door – with her baby blue eyes and trademark shaggy blonde hairdo – who hit the big time with classic romance films Sleepless In Seattle and You’ve Got Mail.

But as her fame grew, so did interest in her private life, especially when she married leading man Dennis Quaid in 1991 – a relationship that was tumultuous at best, especially when she was accused of cheating on him with Aussie star Russell Crowe on the set of their 2000 film Proof Of Life.

Now, decades later, the 59-year-old mum-of-two has gone underground after ending her high-profile engagement to singer John Mellencamp in 2019 – an on-again, off-again relationship she described as “exhausting to deal with”.

JOHN’S MOVED ON

Despite her frustration with John, 69, sources tell Woman’s Day she’s “not exactly thrilled” that he’s been parading his new love with 46-year-old realtor Natasha Barrett in Malibu in recent weeks.
