Slim Dusty's PUB WITH NO BEER

Buying the legendary drinking hole is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity

For the first time in half a century, the legendary “pub with no beer” is up for grabs!

Made famous in 1957 by Aussie country music icon Slim Dusty, the historic Lee’s Hotel in Queensland’s sugarcane town of Ingham is being sold freehold after 50 years. And it could be yours for a cool $3.5 million.

Current licensee Glenn Connell, who happens to know a thing or two about Aussie watering holes, reckons it’s the deal of the century.

“I’ve been working in pubs since I was 13, and this little charmer is something special,” Glenn, 55, tells Woman’s Day from the hotel’s popular Canecutters Bar.

“The lucky buyer gets the whole kit and caboodle! It includes this magnificent building that dates back to the late 1800s, and the pub’s leasehold, which my wife Lisa and I have held since 2019.”
