Downton Abbey’s Phyllis Logan is embracing her 60s, as she should – for starters, she’s never been more in demand as an actor. But there’s another development the 65-year-old star likes that may surprise you – it’s the fact that men have stopped looking at her!
‘What’s lovely is to walk past a bunch of guys on the street and not feel that they’re turning around,’ explains Phyllis, with a chuckle. ‘I see this all the time on the street – young lasses going past and you see somebody literally not even making any bones about it, just going in after them and looking them up and down. Thank God that’s not my remit anymore!’
That sentiment will resonate with most women, but there’s something refreshing about a 60-something so comfortable with her age – particularly at a time of life where offers of work can tend to fall off.
