This Morning fans were overjoyed when Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes made their debut return after being dropped from their regular Friday slot in favour of Alison Hammond, 46, and Dermot O’Leary, 48, back in January – especially as they are back for the whole summer.
But it seems that having the duo back has only reminded viewers how much they miss them, and many have taken to social media to call for a permanent return.
Viewing figures have a lot to do with who’s in and who’s out on most TV programmes, and Woman can reveal that Ruth and Eamonn have been neck and neck with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield since their summer holiday cover started.
So could producers be swayed into making a U-turn and giving the fans what they want?

“My mom found a house for us to look at,” said my fiancé, Jon. “It’s in Richfield, not far from where I grew up.”
