I’ve always been active and full of energy.

So was Paul [Debbie’s late husband, magician Paul Daniels, who died in 2016] and he never needed much sleep. Living with him, I was used to getting by on four and a half hours. I lived my life like that for 38 years.

These days I’m usually in bed by midnight and six hours of unbroken sleep is ideal for me. I’m not someone who crashes in front of the TV when I get home either, I will be working on whatever project I have on at that moment or planning new things. I give 100 per cent to everything I do.

Life is about seizing the moment.

It’s easy to dwell on the negative but I never have. I’ve always focused on what’s positive. That attitude really helped me when I lost Paul.
