From wild child to warrior ZARA SHOWS HER STRENGTH

She’s not a working royal and doesn’t have a title, but Zara Tindall’s husband Mike clearly thinks his wife is the royal family’s warrior princess.

The former rugby star hailed his wife as a “warrior” for the way she gave birth to their son Lucas Philip Tindall on their bathroom floor. Zara, who recently made her first public appearance with six-week-old Lucas at an equestrian competition, had her third child at home after running out of time to get to the hospital.

The Queen’s granddaughter had been having contractions through the night and so they arranged for someone to care for their older children, Mia, seven, and Lena, two.

Mike explains that her labour was faster than they anticipated and Zara’s best friend Dolly Maude, who was at their home at the time, “recognised that we wouldn’t have got to the hospital in time. So, it was run into the gym, get a mat, get into the bathroom, get a mat on the floor, towels down and brace, brace, brace!” he shares.

Thankfully, their midwife wasn’t too far away.

“The midwife arrived, which made me breathe a sigh of relief that I could just be chatting to Zara and trying to get her through it,” he adds.

Their little bundle weighed 3.8kg and his big sisters were “over the moon”.

The happy dad says that his wife “was a warrior, as always. She was back up. We went for a walk the next morning with him. All good.”

Being labelled a warrior is a far cry from some of the descriptions given to Zara in the past. Before she met Mike, she was called a “wild child” and “royal rebel”.
