From wild child to warrior ZARA SHOWS HER STRENGTH

HUSBAND MIKE CELEBRATES HIS WIFE’S 40TH BIRTHDAY WITH A BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE
Judy Kean

She’s not a working royal and doesn’t have a title, but Zara Tindall’s husband Mike clearly thinks his wife is the royal family’s warrior princess.

The former rugby star hailed his wife as a “warrior” for the way she gave birth to their son Lucas Philip Tindall on their bathroom floor. Zara, who recently made her first public appearance with six-week-old Lucas at an equestrian competition, had her third child at home after running out of time to get to the hospital.

The Queen’s granddaughter had been having contractions through the night and so they arranged for someone to care for their older children, Mia, seven, and Lena, two.

Mike explains that her labour was faster than they anticipated and Zara’s best friend Dolly Maude, who was at their home at the time, “recognised that we wouldn’t have got to the hospital in time. So, it was run into the gym, get a mat, get into the bathroom, get a mat on the floor, towels down and brace, brace, brace!” he shares.

Thankfully, their midwife wasn’t too far away.

“The midwife arrived, which made me breathe a sigh of relief that I could just be chatting to Zara and trying to get her through it,” he adds.

Their little bundle weighed 3.8kg and his big sisters were “over the moon”.

The happy dad says that his wife “was a warrior, as always. She was back up. We went for a walk the next morning with him. All good.”

Being labelled a warrior is a far cry from some of the descriptions given to Zara in the past. Before she met Mike, she was called a “wild child” and “royal rebel”.

A headstrong child, she caused a stir when she got her tongue pierced as a teenager. At 20, she moved in with her jockey boyfriend Richard Johnson and their relationship was volatile. They were seen brawling outside a friend’s house and after another fight, Zara overturned her Land Rover in a ditch.

Shortly after separating from Richard, Zara met Mike at the Rugby World Cup in Australia in 2003, and they have been together ever since and will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary this year.

BRAD ROWE IFBB Pro and Trainer to the Stars!

Success in bodybuilding is often assumed to correlate with contest wins and high finishes at the Mr. Olympia and Arnold Classic. Yet there are many other avenues available today, some far more lucrative than relying on prize money or even supplement contracts. One man who exemplifies the level of success possible beyond the stage is Brad Rowe. Though he was no slouch on stage, he gained far more visibility appearing in national commercials for companies like GoDaddy, Coca-Cola, Kia, Taco Bell and Dannon Oikos, some of which aired during Super Bowls. More recently, Brad’s prominence as an elite personal trainer got a major boost when Mike Tyson hired him to be his full-time strength and conditioning coach, training him for his 2020 comeback fight at age 54 with Roy Jones Jr. I spoke with fellow native New Englander Brad about why he stepped away from competing, how he became part of Mike Tyson’s training camp, and his major project that stands to make him one of the biggest players in the growing field of anti-aging and cutting-edge athletic performance.
