By George, they made it HOLLYWOOD'S GOLDEN COUPLE
When it comes to marriages, no one makes them shorter than Tinseltown. Britney Spears had one that lasted 55 hours and Pamela Anderson topped that by entering into a “forever” union that came to an abrupt end after just two days.

And after decades of playing the field as one of the world’s most eligible divorcés, fans thought they’d never see the day when George Clooney settled down. But that all changed when he met Amal.

The Gravity actor – who once chose his pet pot-bellied pig over the affections of a girlfriend – is living proof that it’s never too late to fall in love.

Since their romantic Italian nuptials in 2014, George and international human rights lawyer Amal have gone from strength to strength, giving Hollywood a lesson along the way on how a healthy marriage can work.

This year, the couple celebrates eight years of wedded bliss – something of a milestone in the world of show business – and it seems the secret to their success comes down to a handful of basics: mutual love and respect, a shared sense of humour, and spending as much time together as possible.

“Our deal is that we can’t be more than a week apart,” George, 60, shares. “So far that’s worked out pretty well. We try not have these huge gaps.”
