I am originally from Engqeleni in the Eastern Cape, but live in Midrand, Johannesburg. I come from a disadvantaged background where I had to share one bedroom with five family members. I studied interior design and product making and carpentry at the Furniture Technology Centre Trust. When starting out in Cape Town in 2012, I constantly had to choose between buying food or the materials I needed for my products. I used that hunger to fuel my passion and dreams.
I get inspired when I see my designs come to life.
