Veteran actress Pamela Nompumelelo Nomvete (54) is back on our TV screens after a life-changing hiatus. She talks about her extensive experiences.
I was born in Ethiopia, and grew up in the UK.
But, I used to travel around the world with my exiled South African parents. I had an amazing childhood because my parents were open-minded and gave me the freedom to explore. My fond memories include watching them host prominent leaders to discuss the political and economic revolution of black people. As a little girl, hearing them talk about their love for Africa made me feel connected to the continent. Because of this, I moved to South Africa when I was older.
People still remember me for the role of Ntsiki Lukhele on SABC soapie Generations.
