I grew up yearning for more than what the village of Bulwer in KwaZulu-Natal had to offer.

While most of my peers wanted to be teachers and nurses, I yearned for a career that would enable me to empower people with information. I decided to pursue a career in journalism because I believed that I belonged in the media industry.

I obtained my Journalism Diploma and Bachelor of Technology Degree in Journalism at the Durban University of Technology.

 I was an enthusiastic and hard working student, so I excelled. I couldn’t wait to complete my studies and embark on my lifelong dream of being a media specialist. After graduation, I dived into the world of journalism.

I have received various awards.
