Heeta and Dilan's charming intimate wedding was all about personalised details
Heeta Jethiji, a civil servant and Dilan Patel, an entrepreneur, had a novel-like start to their relationship. The two bumped into one another during their university days, and ever since their chemistry was undeniable. On a cold New Years Eve of 2019, Dilan proposed to me on the ice rink outside London’s Natural History Museum, recalls Heeta. The celebrations started with a small engagement ceremony, however, due to the pandemic they were unable to plan their wedding the way any couple would. Most of our appointments with suppliers were over Zoom and we were often uncertain as to whether the wedding would go ahead. We had to make some bold decisions and accept our fate– or as my mum says, naseeb.

THE VISION

Initially I hoped for an intimate wedding but over time our plans changed. The wedding was a celebration of our love and it felt like a reunion and a moment to rejoice.
