On 2 November, hundreds of the world’s foremost travel leaders, writers and celebrities headed to London’s Kensington Palace for the 20th Wanderlust Travel Awards, hosted by the BAFTA award-winning travel legend, Steve Backshall. This year, Wanderlust presented a mix of reader, guide and industry awards, putting a spotlight on the industry’s stars who have kept shining during this turbulent time for travel.
“With Australia’s diverse landscapes and endless adventures, we’re not surprised our readers have named it 2021’s Most Desirable Country for a long-haul destination,” said George Kipouros, Wanderlust Editor in Chief, noting that flights from the UK are planned to begin taking off again before the end of the year.
