Why Caravanning Is The Perfect Family Holiday

The ultimate in freedom, a caravan holiday offers the chance to explore at your own pace, stay where and when you like, while delivering adventure and tremendous fun on wheels. If you needed any more convincing, listen to Jade Berg – ironwoman, mum of three and Jayco ‘vanbassador’ – who says caravanning holidays are the ultimate family bonding experience.

The Bergs have been travelling the coastline of Australia in their caravan for five years now. It all started with a few camping getaways when the kids were born. Jade says she and husband Wes “fell in love with the camping lifestyle and got the bug.” They’ve since ditched the tent and upgraded to a Jayco Expanda Caravan, which they take on the road every four weeks. “We made a pact to not leave our caravan in the driveway for more than one month at any time and have stuck to that since we bought it,” explains Jade. “We are currently on four weekends back to back in the van in four different locations, coming home each week in between to work and send the kids to school.”
