■ We got to test one of LG’s Puricare Wearable Air Purifier masks, prior to a release date and price being considered for this country. It may never arrive. Which is a pity, because it’s an impressive bit of tech and we’d like to see more of them around.

■ The Puricare consists of a hard plastic shell, a soft rubber inner with a fabric filter, and dual fans capped by tiny H13 HEPA filters. In practise, it feels like you’re wearing a menpō, facial armour covering your nose, mouth and chin. It certainly feels solid enough, but there’s little airflow to be had. You’d got what the dual inverter fans send back from outside.
