TheNWA90AX is the smallest Wi-Fi 6 access point we’ve yet seen
PRICE £79 exc VAT from lambda-tek.com
Prices for business Wi-Fi 6 access points (APs) have been falling steadily, and Zyxel takes this to the next level as its NWA90AX costs just £79. As you’d expect at this low price, it’s only an AX1775-rated AP, but Zyxel improves value as the NWA90AX can be managed in standalone mode or remotely using its Nebula Control Center (NCC) cloud platform.
It’s also the smallest Wi-Fi 6 AP we’ve yet seen, as this palm-sized plastic slab measures a mere 140 x 140 x 38mm (WDH) and weighs only 290g. Its Gigabit port supports PoE+, but worry not if you don’t have a suitable source as the price does include a power adapter.
The NWA90AX is simple to deploy in standalone mode, with its web console wizard guiding you through setting the country of operation and changing the default admin password. One SSID on each radio is also enabled, but you should change the encryption key immediately as the default one is very easy to guess.
