Nanoleaf is smart lighting with a difference. Instead of a light bulb that plugs into your regular lamp fittings, or a strip light you can bend around or hang on your furniture, these are shapes you can link together into exciting wall-mounted designs. So far, Nanoleaf has released hexagons, squares, small triangles, and standard triangles, with sides of 23cm/nine inches in length. These triangles have sharp corners, but the ‘lit’ area is rounded for a smoother effect when in use.
In this starter kit you get nine regular triangular panels, ten connectors to link the shapes together, a controller unit that clips onto the side of one of the panels, sticky pads to hold them to your wall, and a mains plug to power your finished design. You can buy additional panels if you wish to expand your masterpiece, and even link panels of differing shapes.
