We were bound for Cherbourg following nine weeks' cruising the west coast of France. We planned to stop in Port Chantereyne to stock up on wine and cheese before heading home to Poole. With two metres showing over the sill, Zephyrine, our Moody 336 departed St Peter Port’s Victoria Marina at 0730 one July morning.
