Dallas Cowboys

Jerry Jones clearly wanted to make defense a priority in the 2021 NFL Draft, as the Cowboys used eight of their 11 selections on that side of the ball. The big prize of the night for the Boys was Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons, a player who recorded 109 total tackles, five sacks, and three forced fumbles in 2019 before opting out of last season because of concerns over COVID-19. Parsons will now take the place of another former Penn State linebacker, following Sean Lee’s retirement announcement last month.

With the secondary being a major area of concern for Dallas in 2020, the team selected Kentucky cornerback Kelvin Joseph in the second round. One round and three picks later in the draft, the Cowboys took Oregon corner, Nahshon Wright. Other notable selections for Dallas included UCLA defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa, Iowa defensive end Chauncey Golston, and LSU linebacker Jabril Cox.

History of Ranch Rodeo

A working cowboy’s event, the modern-day version of a rodeo is vastly different from its predecessor, the traditional ranch rodeo. Instead of the glamorous and sometime theatrical performances of today’s professional rodeos, ranch rodeos remain dedicated to the skill and determination necessary to work a ranch. From their grass-roots evolution in the 19th century to the thousands of annual events today, ranch rodeos connect generations of cowboys and cowgirls across the country.
