IT’S THE MID-2000s andBAJ Griffin is sitting in the crowd watching the Chicago Bulls compete in the NBA playoffs at the United Center. A toddler at the time, he’s sitting on the lap of his mother, Audrey, a former All-American track runner at Seton Hall, while watching his dad, Adrian Sr, play for the Bulls.
In the midst of the game’s excitement and rowdy environment, AJ ends up shouting, “Let’s go Bulls!” Audrey, in complete shock, turns to him. He had just uttered his first sentence ever. As fate would have it, there couldn’t have been a more fitting one.
