EDGE RUSHERS

THE TOP PROSPECTS
Dave Syvertsen

Chase Young/Ohio State 6’5/264/4.65 (E)/Round 1

2019 Stats: 46 tackles, 21 TFL, 16.5 sacks / 3 PD, 7 Pr / 6 FF

Pros: Anticipates and jumps the snap and will attack the blocker’s chest with heavy hands and long arms. Can adjust late and miss the blocker’s punch while still making his path to the passer efficient. A sharp turner around the edge, flattens it with power and speed. A productive machine who has nearly elite traits across the board. Cons: Will get tall at times and plays too stiff. The reactions to the ball in the run game can be faster and more efficient. Needs to get more consistent with the inside rush and double moves. Seems indecisive at times. Pro Comparison: Chandler Jones / ARI

A.J. Epenesa/Iowa 6’5/278/5.04/Round 1-2

2019 Stats: 49 tackles, 14.5 sacks, 11.5 sacks / 3 PD, 9 Pr / 4 FF

Gruden feeling the heat?

“I know there is a big bull’s-eye on my chest, certainly. If the people want to use that as an incentive, then so be it. I worked for Al Davis in 1998. That was pressure. I was 34 years old. I’ve dealt with pressure before. I don’t really feel pressure. I love the excitement and thrill of competing, and I can’t worry about things I can’t control in that regard. I know people will want to step on me and beat me, and that is just the way this league is.”
