Dave Youngman notes some of Her Majesty’s two-year-olds

QUEEN'S HORSES ON PARADE

We are all now looking forward to the July Festival here at Newmarket from July 8-10. Do get here if you can as we have some very good horses ready to run including some smart juveniles.

I hope you like my picture of a horse cooling down among the trees after working over on the Limekilns, some peace and tranquility amid the action.

JAMES Fanshawe has THE TIN MAN back at his Pegasus yard and the horse will be used as a hack now. Sadly he fractured a cannon bone and it has had to be screwed at the equine hospital. The accident happened during a routine piece of work and just goes to show how fragile these horses are.

SIR Michael Stoute was delighted to win the Golden Jubilee at Ascot with Dream Of Dreams and his good pal Michael Holding was there with him to enjoy it all. Michael is a regular out on the gallops here at HQ and is a delight to talk to.

MOHAAFETH gave William and Mo Haggas great pleasure when the son of Frankel won the Hampton Court Stakes at the Royal meeting. He has come out of the race well and you would not know he had had a race. He will stay at 10 furlongs for the time being but may well come back in distance to a mile later on.
