KANE LOOKS A KILLER

AINTREE October 25 (soft)

2m4f maiden hurdle (Class 4)

Fair form KILLER KANE (Colin Tizzard) cost an eye-watering £300,000 and certainly looked the part in the paddock. He travelled like a winner for much of the race but was nabbed in the shadow of the post after running out of gas close home. This leg loosener can only have helped and he will win races.

CHEPSTOW October 27 (soft)

2m7f110y beginners chase (Class 3)

Small but select field L’AIR DU VENT (Colin Tizzard) is built to jump fences but needed the run and proved easy to back (5-1 to 9-1). That didn’t stop him running a blinder until lack of peak fitness told and he’s clearly an above-average recruit. This fella will be a different proposition next time and could be smart.

LINGFIELD October 29

(standard) 7f handicap (Class 2)

Messy race MAXI BOY (Michael Bell) ran in Group races as a two-year-old and had been noted working well prior to this return from a 455-day break. He was held-up in rear by the much improved Rossa Ryan and caught the eye finishing wide and late to snatch third. He’ll improve for the outing and is a winner waiting to happen.

ASCOT October 31 (soft)

2m1f handicap chase (Class 1)

Ordinary race for the grade MOLINEAUX (Colin Tizzard) like most of his stable’s runners looked just in need of his first outing of the campaign. Bearing that in mind, he shaped encouragingly to finish third after getting tired between the last two. He needs further than this and has the raw ability to pinch a decent handicap.
