Boundary-pushing UK brand unveil their new long-travel 29er, the S-150
Whyte’s new S-150 has to be one of the most exciting and well-thought-out 29ers that we’ve seen. As the name suggests, it has 150mm of travel front and rear. While it rolls on 29in wheels as standard, it can accommodate 650b+ hoops with up to 2.8in tyres too. What makes it stand out from the crowd is its geometry.
The 65.6-degree head angle puts it at the forefront of the progression towards slacker 29ers. Reach numbers are roomy too, at 458.5mm on the medium size. The 335mm bottom bracket is super-low (and will be lower still with 650b+ wheels), so Whyte spec short 170mm crank arms.
