Sometimes we take for granted just how good the trails are in parts of the UK and it takes an outsider's perspective to make us appreciate them. Austrian rider Helene Fruhwirth has visited Scotland many times, to race four-cross and downhill at the Fort William World Cup. However, she'd seen little of the country beyond its airports and the Nevis Range parking area. So, she and her photographer partner Alex Chapignac loaded up their camper van and set out on a road trip with their dog, Merlin. First stop was Innerleithen and its infamous Golfie enduro runs. "Some of the trails were very flowy and I could leave the brakes open and just follow Alex blindly, and some, oh my goodness, I was just glad I could hold on!" says Helene.
