Samsung Galaxy Active2 44mm GPS Watch £339.99
Golf Monthly|December 2020
The product of a joint enterprise with GolfBuddy, the Galaxy Active2 Golf Edition GPS watch comes in three strap designs.

GM Verdict

We tested the 44mm version, which is the middle of the three in terms of size but is still one of the thinnest and most compact GPS watches on the market.

The setting-up process was a little laborious, involving different apps and a few passwords to pair the watch with the phone and get the courses downloaded. You start a round of golf by tapping on the top of the home screen to access the free Smart Caddie app, which comes pre-loaded with a lifetime subscription usually worth £76 and provides the ability to track your shots.

T+A Solitaire P headphones and HA 200 DACheadphone amplifier

What I categorize as mainstream, dealer-based, fancy-pants stream-ers and big-speakers audio is actually only the gold-plated tip of a gigantic asteroid-like monolith that extends (underground) from New York to Hong Kong, from the Arctic Circle to Antarctica. This immense audio-social mass is mostly invisible to the Madison Avenue mainstream, but simple Google searches expose millions of proletarian audio-gear constructers (DIY’ers) working in shops, basements, and garages, scratch-building everything from turntables to tonearms to phono cartridges, to capacitors and vacuum tubes, to amplifiers, headphones, ribbon and electrostatic speakers.
