PXG’s Game
PXG founder and company frontman Bob Parsons isn’t afraid of peppering his brand’s creations with all manner of superlatives, and with good reason; for anyone well-heeled enough to be custom fit for a full bag of PXG clubs knows, they deliver in spades.
New for this year, PXG’s flagship GEN4 Golf Clubs present significant advancements in materials innovations, combined with precision engineering and personalised performance.
GEN4 Drivers, Fairways, and Hybrids introduce a muscle back hybrid crown construction with aluminium vapour carbon fibre. An industry first, the design removes weight from the crown’s highest point and replaces it with a stronger aluminium infused carbon fibre section in the centre. Titanium in the toe and heel crown area increases weight efficiency and MOI performance.
Across the metal woods lineup, a vibration-dampening honeycomb TPE sole insert optimises sound and feel. And with personalised performance as a critical design feature, all clubs have an adjustable hosel and precision weighting technology. Used to finetune head weight, launch, and spin, there are three sole weights in the driver and two in the fairway woods and hybrids.
PXG 0811 GEN4 DRIVERS
When there’s no limit to cost as with PXG, it opens up a world of design possibilities through the use of more exotic material blends. The three new head shapes all offer a Ti811 body and a titanium Ti412 high speed face, a special mix that’s incredibly strong with significant face deflection to better deliver livelier ball speeds and more distance.
