Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal’s pair was phenomenal for Indian cricket prior to the ODI World Cup. In the World Cup, although India just lost a single game (against hosts England) in the group stage but that was the last time Chahal and Kuldeep played together. From then on, the captain has refrained from playing them together. And since the World Cup, the ‘KulCha’, (the famous acronym that fans have given to the wrist spinning duo) hasn’t been served on any platter. In T20Is though, their last game together was way back in July 2018 when the duo played against England in Sophia Gardens and in between them could pick up only one wicket and India ended up on a losing side.

The question here is, can they play together in the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia? But before answering that, one must answer, should they?

Win alright, combination questions persist

DID India field their right combination? Does Manish Pandey deserve a place in the XI, if he bats at No 5? Are India playing T20s the way it should be played? These questions continue to rise, never mind the fact the win against Australia on Friday in Canberra was their ninth in 10 T20s with one washed out. Their last defeat came a year ago against the West Indies and they have been building for T20 World Cup.
